McHenry County Visit From World Renowned Influenza Expert

On Thursday, August 17, 2006 Dr. Michael Osterholm spoke in McHenry County about preparing for the possibility of an Influenza Pandemic.  Dr. Osterholm addressed over 200 community leaders at a luncheon that afternoon and 180 citizens at an evening town hall session.  Dr. Osterholm is an internationally renowned expert on avian and pandemic influenza; he is Director of the Center for Infectious Disease Research and Policy and a frequent consultant to the CDC, WHO, FDA and Department of Defense.  If you or your organization is interested in learning more about Pandemic Preparedness, please contact the McHenry County Department of Health.
